279-unit Class A community within CamWesT Crossing near Texas A&M, RELLIS and FUJIFILM

HOUSTON (September 24, 2026) – Houston-based McGrath Real Estate Partners has begun construction on The James, a 279-unit Class A multifamily community located within CamWesT Crossing, a 47-acre mixed-use development in the Bryan-College Station BioCorridor.

Strategically located near the intersection of State Highway 47 and Health Science Center Parkway, The James places residents at the center of one of Texas' fastest-growing employment and innovation corridors. The community is minutes from the Texas A&M RELLIS Campus, the university's innovation and technology campus, and the FUJIFILM Biotechnologies campus, the largest single-use biomanufacturing campus in North America and the second-largest employer in the Bryan-College Station region behind Texas A&M University.

Designed to meet the growing demand for high-quality housing, The James will offer a curated mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom residences serving young professionals, healthcare workers, researchers, graduate students and residents seeking convenient access to the region's expanding employment base. Situated on approximately 9.73 acres, the community will encompass 302,865 square feet across three-story residential buildings. Residences range from 591 to 1,416 square feet.

"The James reflects our strategy of developing high-quality communities in markets where long-term job creation and economic growth support sustained housing demand," said Barrett Kirk, Chief Investment Officer, McGrath Real Estate Partners. "The team behind CamWesT Crossing has created a tremendous vision for this district, and we're proud for The James to be an integral part of it. With its proximity to Texas A&M main campus, RELLIS campus, FUJIFILM Biotechnologies and the region's expanding healthcare and research campuses, this community is uniquely positioned to serve one of the state's fastest-growing innovation and employment hubs. We believe The James will set a new standard for quality apartment living in Bryan-College Station."
